QuikClot - First Aid Supplies

QuikClot is an emergency gauze containing kaolin, a mineral that accelerates your body's natural clotting process.  Kaolin is an inert, non-allergen mineral demonstrated to be an effective clotting agent that contains no botanicals and no animal or human proteins. QuikClot Clotting Gauze easily conforms to wounds – simply position the gauze over the source of the bleeding and apply pressure. 

The Trauma Pak with QuikClot includes a combine pad, triangular bandage, and gauze dressings to help control the bleeding and duct tape to hold it all in place. The Adventure® Medical Kit’s QuikClot Gauze is a hemostatic dressing that uses the hemostatic agent zeolite, an inorganic mineral that works quickly to induce clotting.

Either version of QuikClot can be a great addition to an emergency first aid kits to help stop bleeding fast.
