Which PRESTAN CPR manikin should I choose?

Updated on Jan 31, 2026

This guide compares the main PRESTAN CPR manikin options we carry—Ultralite, Professional (Pro), and Series 2000—and explains how the Pro+ upgrade fits into the Pro and Series 2000 models. Use the sections below to choose the best fit based on portability, training intensity, and the level of feedback your program wants.

Ultralite Series

Most Ultralite models include a shoulder-clip CPR feedback indicator for quick visual guidance, with select configurations available without feedback.

Ultralite is ideal for most classes, especially when portability and easy storage matter. For high-intensity training environments or very frequent use, many instructors prefer a heavier, more “anchored” manikin body—so we typically recommend stepping up to the Professional line.

Professional Series (Pro)

The PRESTAN Professional (Pro) series is a durable, realistic option designed for frequent CPR training and everyday classroom use. All current Pro models include CPR feedback, with an audible click for compression depth and a visual rate monitor in the shoulder that shines through the skin to guide compression rate. If you want a dependable “go-to” CPR manikin for regular training sessions, the Pro series is a strong all-around choice.

Note: Some older Pro manikins were sold without feedback, and many can be upgraded to add feedback.

Series 2000

The PRESTAN Series 2000 uses the same manikin body as the Professional (Pro) series and includes the familiar shoulder feedback indicators, so it can provide standard depth and compression-rate feedback even without the app. What makes Series 2000 different is the added Bluetooth connection to the PRESTAN app for advanced feedback, including compression rate, depth, recoil, ventilation, and hands-off time.

If you like the feel and durability of the Pro series but want expanded performance data and coaching tools, Series 2000 is the natural step up.

Pro+ Upgrade (for Pro and Series 2000)

Pro+ isn’t a separate manikin “series” as much as it is an upgrade option available for both the Professional (Pro) and Series 2000 models. With the Pro+ upgrade, you get an updated head design that adds functional oral and nasal airways, along with an improved setup experience for ventilation training.

If your training program emphasizes ventilation technique and you want the most realistic airway functionality, choosing the Pro+ upgrade is an easy way to step up—while still staying within the Pro or Series 2000 platform you prefer.
