Saturday is officially Training Day at the Washington Monument, and the energy on the National Mall is completely electric!
Today has been an unforgettable, fun-filled gathering bringing together heart advocates, nonprofits, vendors, and the D.C. Fire Department. Together, the crowd is rolling up their sleeves to attempt a massive World Record CPR training session!
As we've walked the grounds today, we've had the chance to visit many of the incredible vendor and nonprofit booths set up around the monument. We are continually so impressed by everyone here and the remarkable, tireless work they do every single day to champion heart health and public safety.
Beyond the record-breaking training attempts and exploring the booths, the day has offered deeply moving moments during the survivor meetups and lost loved ones meetups, reminding everyone why teaching Hands-Only CPR is so vital. Powered by a live DJ, Simon’s Heart Jukebox, and games for all ages, hundreds of onlookers are turning into confident lifesavers right before our eyes.
