Why does an adult/child CPR mask only include one mask?
updated February 14, 2016
An adult/child pocket resuscitator mask has a CPR mask that can be used on an adult or a child. This is a single mask size that can be used on most adults and children. If the mask is too large to seal properly on a child with the narrow end over the nose, the mask can be rotated so the narrow end is over the child's chin. This technique is demonstrated in CPR classes which cover the use of professional rescue masks. Professional CPR rescue masks should only be used by people who have received this training.
